Replacement Sacrificial Anode: anode is in 2 halves to securely snug around ½” shafts; 9/64th allen wrench included for easy installation. Anode must be examined periodically. Anodes shields units from corrosion and electrolysis when in good condition. Suitable for salt, fresh, and brackish water Unlike old-school zinc, Aluminum Anodes have zero cadmium in the alloy, making Aluminum Anodes environmentally friendly. Color-coded for easy identification. Unit not included.
